VALENTINE DOOR WREATH

I MADE THIS WREATH FROM A HEART SHAPED WREATH THAT I HAD.  BOUGHT SOME RED ROSES FROM DOLLAR TREE ALONG WITH SOME ADDED "PINK SPRAYS" (I GUESS THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL THEM) HE-HE....PLACED A HEART SHAPED WIRE CANDLE HOLDER INSIDE AND TIED RED AND WHITE SATIN RIBBONS TO BASE.  ( I GOT THE HEART SHAPED WIRE CANDLE HOLDER FROM HOME INTERIOR A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS A DECORATOR WITH THEM.   SOOOO PRETTY!

VALENTINES DAY DECOR

TABLE SET WITH PLASTIC RED/WHITE PLATES!

RED PAPER HEARTS FOR PLACEMATS

"SCOOTER" DRESSED UP FOR VALENTINES"

CENTERPIECE WITH FAUX ROSES

HAD TO HAVE REAL ROSES IN TINY VASES!

RED & WHITE VOTIVE CANDLE FAVORS

TABLE WAS DECORATED WITH ALL THE CHERUBS I COULD FIND.  I JUST LOVE THEM FOR VALENTINES DAY!  HEARTS AND PEARLS AND LOTS OF RED WHITE AND PINK..  I PRINTED OUT SOME "OLD VICTORIAN VALENTINE CARDS" OFF THE INTERNET WHICH WERE ADORABLE.  LIGHT PINK TISSUE PAPER WAS PLACED INSIDE GLASS GOBLETS ( I WOULD HAVE USED NAPKINS IF I HAD THEM).

CENTERPIECE WAS PLACED ON GLASS CAKE PLATE WITH CANDY VALENTINES ALL AROUND.  RED SATIN COVERS SOME ORDINARY SMALL BOXES TO ADD HEIGHT FOR SOME ITEMS.   VO- LA!!  READY FOR A ROMANTIC DINNER.
SO MUCH FUN AND EASY TO DO.

FAVORITE THING - MAUI

A FAVORITE THING - AAAHHHH! MAUI

JUST CAME ACROSS THIS PIC OF OUR TRIP TO HAWAII 2008 I BELIEVE.... TALK ABOUT SERENITY.  WANTED TO SHARE.

MARDI GRAS DECOR FOR ENTRYWAY

I don't know about you, but I love, love, love, animal prints and decor!  So...after Christmas, I get out all my animal decor and start the new year.   I'm even thinking about purchasing some "on sale" material and making pillows for my LR (chetah print) maybe.  Here are some "pets" I lurve!

The gorgeous plate and animals were from Kirkland's last year.  The lamp I believe was from Dollar General (very inexpensive and cute huh?)   If I find last year's Mardi Gras photos, I'll post them asap.

Mardi Gras Mask from Pottery Tent in Marshall, Tx.

2010 MARDI GRAS ENTRYWAY DECOR
I am still evolving .....with the rest of my decorations: centerpiece maybe, bakers rack, etc.  You never know what I will come up with.... sometimes the "bug" bites real hard and watch out...  Hope it bites real soon!   I still need to come up with something different for my front door.  Will let you know.  See ya'll later.

MARDI GRAS MANTLE DECOR

Here I am again.  I have been working on my blog and loading photos, etc.  Down here in the South, a lot of people decorate for Mardi Gras...I do some, but not a whole lot - I want to keep things calm after Christmas (if you know what I mean....rest, quiet, relaxation - yes!)

Here is a pic of my mantle with a little Mardi Gras Decor.  (Still working on downloading photos,  I will get better.:) Feather garland, bows, etc. from Pottery Tent.  Placed iron candleholder (can't remember correct name, sorry) from Willow House (originally S.L. at Home) on its side in front of tv for some added interest and glass holders with balls and tinsel for glam.  IT'S VERY HARD TO DECORATE A MANTLE WHEN HUBBY HAS TO HAVE TV UP THERE HUH?  BUT, WE CAN DO IT!

Blog Progress Day 2

Working on blog and becoming familiar with everything.  Wish I had a "blogger" to help me - Ugh!  I am getting my photos in some sense of order - so I can access them pronto - lol.  I am making headway...and should have some valentine tablescapes and much more shortly.  Have a great day to everyone.

Monday, January 9, 2012

Hi everyone.  Well, today I am trying to set up my template and it is going slowly but surely.  This is a TEST run and I am going to post a picture and see what happens.  Boy, do I have a lot to learn.  But I am determined and will try.   I know it's winter....but this girl has to get all her ducks in a row, if you know what I mean.

Woo-Hoo!  I uploaded a picture!! Yeaaa!  (You can't tell I'm new to blogging can you?? :)  This is my first picture (taken from my photos at random) to upload.  I did this last summer.  I changed up my LR with touches of aqua's since I missed the beach so much.  Lamp and beautiful plate from Kirkland's (one of my favorite places to shop). The flower arrangement was sooooo easy.  Just one greenery bush and two flower stems placed in a glass and antique bronze container (place styrofoam inside and wa - la)  Am I getting the blogging lango yet?:)  Give me time...you'll see - I am determinnnnned!
