Summertime Decor

Hi everyone!  I am so glad you stopped by today (kind of a blaa day) and hope all of you are doing well.  I have been trying to get ready for a trip to the beach....it's always calling me...... take me away...take me away.... (as the song goes) :)    Thought I would share some of my Summer decor that I did last year with you.  Here comes the aqua color again...soothing and comforting.   I am always inspired by all my blogger friends.   Check back soon, as I will post some new Summer decor when we return from the ocean.  I collect most of my sand from Myrtle Beach, Destin and others when I get the chance to go.  I also collect sea shells whenever I can (all hold so many dear memories).  Please let me know if you see something you like or that inspires you.  I love hearing your comments!

Luv the colors in this plate from Willow House!  My colors Brown and Aqua!

Coffee Table with two of my favorite magazines:  Southern Lady and Ballards Designs.

Click on the pic - maybe you can read the cup.

I would like to leave with you an excerpt of a book I have been reading called, "Book of Prayer" - "A cup of comfort", which I try to read most mornings while enjoying my coffee.  It always seems to start my day out right..... hope it does the same for you.

God, make me brave for life;
oh, braver than this.
Let me straighten after pain, as a
tree straightens after the rain,
Shining and lovely again.
God, make me brave for life;
much braver than this.
As the blown grass lifts, let me rise
From sorrow with quiet eyes,
Knowing Thy way is wise.
God, make me brave, life brings
Such blinding things.
Help me to keep my sight;
Help me to see aright
That out of dark comes light.

Till then, many blessings,   Carol

Hawaii Mood

Happy Friday Everyone!  Hope everyone is having a great day.  I have been in a "Hawaii" mood all week....I so want to go back.  Hopefully, God will have that in His plans for us sometime in the future.  It is a long way there...but worth it.  Found some of the 368 pics I took of Hawaii....No, I'm not going to bore you with all of them, just a few of my favorites.  They never cease to bring tranquility to me.  God is so awesome and his creations are so majestic!!  I hope they do the same for you.  (Click on the pic for a larger view)

DIAMOND HEAD ON OAHU FROM OUR BALCONY

SNORKELED HERE - HUANAMAHA BAY (IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, LOL :) :)    HILARIOUS, WATCHING US PUT ON OUR GEAR - WE COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING!  ONE GOOD THING ABOUT GETTING OLDER, YOU DON'T REALLY CARE WHO SEES YOU ANYMORE.... YOU JUST HAVE FUN!  THIS IS ALSO ONE OF THE  PLACES WHERE  ELVIS PRESLEY FILMED "BLUE HAWAII"!

HARD TO BELIEVE YOU ARE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PACIFIC!  BUT, GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US WHEREVER WE GO - NO FEAR!

VIEW FROM CROUCHING LION INN WHERE WE HAD LUNCH AND A FRESH COCONUT!

FORMATION FROM LAVA ROCK.  IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THESE ISLANDS WERE FORMED FROM VOLCANOS - YIKES!!  THEY SURE WERE AWESOME!

WHEN I LOOKED AT THESE IN THE LOBBY OF OUR HOTEL, I THOUGHT THEY WERE  SILK.....NO WAY--THEY WERE REAL AND THEY WERE CHANGED OUT EVERY DAY.

CAN YOU FEEL IT??   GOD'S PEACE.

ONCE THERE, I SAID "NOW I KNOW WHY THEY CALL IT "BLUE" HAWAII!!  I HAVE NEVER SEEN WATER THAT BLUE!  GOD IS SO GREAT!
HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PICS AND HOPE EVERYONE WILL LET THE BEAUTY OF GOD'S CREATION WASH AND BRING PEACE TO THEIR HEARTS, MINDS AND SOULS.

Till then, many blessings, CAROL

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great week.  Thought I would share a summer tablescape I did for our church seminar a few years ago.  I am definitely starting to hear the ocean beckoning me.....wish I could have just a small hut on the beach..., well, maybe sometime.   Hope you enjoy.  So much fun planning and setting up this tablescape.

Sh.....don't tell anyone......, but all the plates, coffee cups and wonderful placemats were from the $1 Tree.  The bubble stemmed handmade glasses were from Home Interior as was the glass centerpiece.   If you would like to see the table up close, just click on the pic!  Can you tell this is my favorite color or what?? :)

Wish you could have seen the table all lit up with the floating candles and the votives nuzzled in the sand.

I will try and post some other tablescapes soon that were also at this church seminar.....awesome ideas!!

Blessings - Carol
