Fall Things

Happy Fall Ya'll!   I finally put away most of my Summer Beachy Decor!  Whoohoo!  All the Fall decorations are out of the closet and staring at me.....  Will probably start doing a little each day for a while, until we start getting some cooler weather.   I don't know about you, but the cool weather just puts me in the mood for Fall decorating!  I ran across some photos we took last year of the outside of our home.  The reason we took them was because it was very hard to believe, by looking at the trees, that is was actually DECEMBER!  It was very beautiful outside, but not very Christmasy, if you know what I mean. We really had a harsh, extremely dry Summer last year, with a lot of burn bans.  But, God finally gave us the beautiful, awesome Fall colors, in His time, not ours.  Still can't believe it!

Fall Table Centerpiece

Welcome to all Fall Bugs!..... and thanks for stopping by!  Is everyone is getting in the mood for Fall?  Well, this girl is slowly starting to "look" and hoping to become inspired.  Getting out old Fall magazines I love, hitting the Dollar Tree, Kirklands, Hobby Lobby and looking at blogs on line.  It's starting to work its magic.  The weather here in Texas has cooled a little, but I'm not quite ready yet to get out all my Fall decor yet,  maybe another week or so.  But... thinking, looking, dreaming and I know the "Fall bug" and the energy I need, will hit sooner or later!

Until then, I found a photo of a very simple Fall centerpiece on my coffee table from 2007, believe it or not!  Wow, where does time go??  I thought this was done a couple of years ago.....:):):)  Sometimes just looking at all the beautiful autumn colors inspires us, so keep smiling and keep decorating!  Check back soon to see what I come up with.  In the meantime, I still need to find my photos from last Fall before I started blogging - Ugh!  Now, what computer did put them on??  Probably, the one in the bedroom with the "blue" screen :(  Hope you enjoy! Click on the pic to enlarge.

Placed coffee beans inside glass container around candle.  Oooh! do I love coffee aroma in the house!

Placed two swede leaf place mats and a Fall wreath from Wal-Mart on the table and placed the glass container inside with the candle - wha-la!

Final photo with corn filled votive cups on each "leaf" .  Watch out when you light them; you may have popped corn!  :)  - Just kidding, but I did blow them out when the tea lights were liquid.  I use the battery lights now,  much safer- huh?

Please let me know if this inspires you - I love to hear your comments.

Blessings,  Til Next Time,
Carol

Master Bathroom Summer Decor

Hello everyone.  Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  I have been a little under the weather lately, but have been working on some new posts.  Hopefully, as soon as I get myself in gear, I will be able to share with you what I have been working on.

We thoroughly gutted and redesigned our small master bath about two years ago.  Thought I would share with you a little summer redo I did this year....which is a work in progress (if you know what I mean)... but I love the beachy summer decor!

Bathtub area with new beach picture-so I can dream!!
 Great buy at Kirkland's.

 Added aqua towels and accessories.

Close up of beach picture.

Added some jute string with star fish.

I still need something else for this space.  I am thinking - a dark brown pedestal planter with "beach/sea" grasses and aqua touches.  Check back often....I may make one soon.  This space needs to be filled and overflowing!!  If anyone has another idea, I would love to hear from you!

Close up of shelf at the bottom of cabinet over toilet.

Need more aqua and greenery in this space.  Working on.

Dressing table.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoy and if you see something you like, please don't hesitate to leave any comments.  I'd love to hear from you!!
