Re-decorated Bath

Was very excited today to receive photos of my sister's newly decorated bathroom. Her hubby did most of the hard work and she was the awesome "decorator".  Great Job to both of you!  I just love the colors, they are very serene and comforting.

Love the candlestick accent!

Humming birds - my favorite!

Added new cabinet above toilet for more storage. I love the detail on the shower curtain and the trim at the bottom and top!

This print is a beautiful touch to pull in all the colors!

Oh!  I see one of my Fleur-de-lis soaps.

Great job you two!!  Wow, what a little work can do....did I say that? ....I meant a LOT of work! :)  Thanks for sharing.

It's a Tea Party!

Hi! Come on in!   We're having a Birthday Tea Party for some of my dearest friends.  We all had a great time visiting, sipping tea, cranberry scones, tea cookies and chicken salad.  We will definitely have to do this more often.  Don't you love tea parties?

Blue Willow Tea Set

Blue Willow dinnerware, lace tablecloth and cloth napkins always seem to make people settle down, relax and stay a while.

Miniature Blue Willow Tea Set hubby bought for me at a Flea Market.

Homemade Muscadine Jelly (to the left) -Yum!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Our prayers are with all the folks on the East coast in the next few days with coming of "Sandy" Storm....hope everyone stays safe!

Spa Soaps - Ooh-La-La!

Greetings!  Hope everyone is having a great day!

Here is what I have been making in the past few months.  This is another one of my "favorite things", besides "blogging". and I love to do both.

My skin was itching terribly at night after taking my shower, so I decided to make a "natural, plant based, glycerin" soap that had no unnecessary chemicals or detergents and no animal products.

The first soap I tried on my skin was "Castile" (made with olive oil) - Oh my!  I couldn't believe how soft and smooth my skin was and no itching, even washed my face with it.  Needless to say, this girl is only using my natural soaps from now on.  I also make goat's milk, oatmeal & honey,  goat's milk & lavender and many more.  After the 1st of the year, I want to make "herbal soaps and natural soaps to help people with problematic skin.   Will keep you advised.  We'll see how my energy holds up :)

Halloween & More

Hello!   It's a wonderful day here in Texas.  Sunny and in the low 80's...who could ask for more.  As I promised, here are a few more pics of this year's Halloween/Autumn decor.  OK, I did go over a little bit this year.....but it always seems to keep progressing, if you know what I mean :)

Mrs. Hoot"s new witches hat!  Very simple.  Made from two round "write on" sheets of pad paper. Or, you could just make your own circles and cut them out (any color you wish) Just cut an "X" in the center of one.  Roll up the second circle into a cone shape and tape.  Push the cone up through the "X" in the first circle and wha-la!  Tie a little black ribbon on and she is ready freddy.

Witches, pumpkins and spiders...Oh my!!

Added a chiffon wrap around lampshade - whadda think??

Close up of shade.  Sorry for the blurry pic, my camera settings need to be fixed I believe.

Mr. Hoot.  Doesn't he look distinguished?

Happy Autumn and don't forget to leave any comments you may have.  Just click on "No Comments" (why it says this, I don't know, it should say, "Comments", at the end of each post and a window will come up for you to comment. Please email and let me know if this doesn't work- I'd love to hear from you!!

Till then,  Many blessings,

P.S.   Please feel free to share my blog with your friends.

Thanks, have a great day!

More Halloween

Greetings!   More pics from last year's Halloween....I am still looking for more.  Found this really cool ghost & pumpkin "tree" from a Flea Market at a steal.  It has fiber optic lights that change all different colors!  All the ghosts, pumpkins and bats light up and plays a very "scary" song. My grandchildren love it.

Happy Haunting!

Well, till then....God Bless and have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween

Happy October Everyone!   It is a wonderful Fall day here in the South.  Leaves are not turning yet, but the sun is shining and the air is cool.  I have been busy this month making my handmade natural soaps.  I made these soaps occasionally, but wanted to get into making them again (don't know what to get into).  Just love to create all the different designs, molds and various kinds.  (Another "favorite thing") !  Will post photos soon.  Check back often.

Found this photo Halloween, 2007 (believe it or not).  Wow, how times goes by!  Now I just need to find all the pics from last year before I starting blogging! :(  (I'm sooo organized......not!)

Have a great day and God bless!
